The new Crescent Heights Academy facility is planned to open in fall 2028. Our plan is to build a facility that emphasizes values such as collaboration, innovation and sustainability that support our core design drivers of relationship, community, natural light and wellness. We aim to provide a forward-thinking and supportive atmosphere for students and faculty to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape of education.
The CHA Board of Directors engaged Future Design School, to survey faculty, students, families and leadership. The survey contained questions about both the facility and the educational program so that the planning around the facility could include functional programming of space uses/adjacencies/flow which is critical to confirming space needs. Since that time, the board has secured our architect, KMBR to plan and design our new 110,000 square foot building. In addition, our development consultant is working with sub consultants including surveyors, civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, environmental engineers, transportation engineers, arborists, and landscape architects as well as the City of Surrey.
Over the next year, we will continue the planning phase and will collaborate with architects and the City of Surrey to obtain development and building permits as well as construction contracts. We will then move to the two-year building phase.
The project is currently in the bulk excavation and site preparation phase

From the south looking north, the lower foyer features two gym entrances on the left and a patio to the soccer turf field on the right.
From the third-level entrance, the foyer is seen from a north-facing viewpoint, looking southward, with the library positioned to the left.
The junior section of the library includes versatile seating options and wide windows overlooking the southwest view.
This double gym includes retractable bleachers and an upper viewing area, with a single gym situated to the north.
