Our three campuses offer an Out-Of School Care program for families needing additional care for their child. This program operates independently from CHA and is fully licensed by Fraser Health. Dues paid to OSC are eligible for an income-tax reduction receipt. Pre-registration at the beginning of the year is required for parents interested in the program, which runs from September to June, 7am to 6pm on all school and professional development days. It provides supplementary care arrangements for children in a safe and licensed environment.
Arriving to School
Students may arrive to school 20 minutes before classes begin. Students who are not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of the day, are sent to OSC and parents will incur a daily charge of $25.00.
It is recommended that parents register for OSC in the event of a drop-in. Students who are not registered for OSC may not use the drop-in service.
*Drop-In OSC is dependant on student attendance and teacher ratios and may not be available.

For drop-ins, we require registration forms to be completed. It’s advised that parents who may need drop-in care register in advance. A student drop-in must be arranged prior to care, as we have strict student-to-teacher ratios that must be maintained in accordance with licensing policies.
The rate for drop-in is $20 for the morning, and $25 for the afternoon. If morning and afternoon care are both needed, the rate is $45.00
Due to rising enrollment and licensing regulations, the OSC program now operates with an annual waitlist. Placement is offered to new students on a first-come, first-served basis. Final registration decisions are made by the OSC management team.
Please note that families who were registered in OSC the previous year receive priority placement ahead of new applications.
Upon enrollment, parents have the option to register their child in the OSC program. Contact information can be found in the enrollment contract.
Please note that OSC is available exclusively to students enrolled at Crescent Heights Academy.
To apply for the child-care subsidy, please reach out to our OSC managers for assistance. It’s important to note that the subsidy program is regulated and maintained by the government of BC, and is separate from Crescent Heights Academy’s jurisdiction.
Students are encouraged to catch-up on any outstanding class work before engaging in play-based activities. OSC students have access to the playgrounds, board games, craft projects, STEM activities, literacy resources, or quiet time.
The OSC program is for ages 5-12, for students older than 12 years old please contact the OSC team.
Students who turn 13 after September may continue in OSC for the full year.
Yes, we offer a gradual entry process for our kindergarten students. During the first week of school, OSC provides Kinder-Care for students who are enrolled in the year-long OSC program. Please note that there are only 12 spaces available.
Students can be dropped off in the OSC room as early as 7:00am.
Just before classes begin the OSC students are led to their homeroom by the OSC teacher.
For pickup in the afternoon, parents must come into the OSC room and sign-out their child before 6:00pm.
OSC is provided on-campus from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
