Our Primary Program is dedicated to providing a welcoming and nurturing environment for students where we actively engage and motivate young minds to learn, setting a strong foundation for their educational journey.
We follow the International Baccaulerate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), which aims to provide a balanced approach to learning, focusing on the acquisition of essential knowledge and skills, the development of conceptual understanding, the demonstration of positive attitudes, and the importance of taking responsible action.
Students are encouraged to explore and understand various concepts through inquiry-based learning. This approach helps them develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them. The curriculum focuses on not only academic growth but also the social, emotional, physical, and cultural development of each student.
Through the (PYP) and our own CARE philosophy, we aim to empower students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and compassionate global citizens. We believe in creating a strong foundation for their future success, where they can thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and culturally.
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) includes six transdisciplinary units of inquiry, providing students with in-depth learning experiences throughout the year.

Additionally, students cultivate learning attitudes that nurture curiosity, foster a lifelong love of learning, and encourage active and responsible engagement with the material.
Our kindergarten to Grade 2 students are currently housed at our Primary Campus, 19533 64th Avenue, Surrey
Our Grades 3 to Grade 5 students are currently housed at our Intermediate Campus, 17465 60th Avenue, Surrey
*in the upcoming academic year, 2026-27, our Kindergarten to Grade 3 program will be located at the Primary Campus, and the grades 4 to 6 program will be located at the Intermediate Campus.

Inquiry learning is a dynamic, non-linear process that serves as a foundational approach to acquiring and practicing skills, developing conceptual understanding, and building a knowledge base. By tapping into curiosity and encouraging students to ask questions, investigate, and solve real-world problems, it promotes active engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Essential questions guide this journey, shifting focus from content to broader concepts for deeper understanding.
Key Inquiry Questions, also known as Essential Questions, are a powerful way to guide an inquiry journey. Shifting our focus from a topic to a question changes how we approach the unit of study. For example, instead of just studying deforestation, framing the topic with the essential question “How does deforestation impact people, animals, and the environment?” emphasizes inquiry and concept-based learning. This approach makes the learning more transferable and shifts the focus from content to broader concepts.
To celebrate the culmination of the Primary Years Program, Grade Five students participate in Exhibition where they choose an issue to explore independently or collaboratively, researching and planning for action, while continually reflecting throughout the process. Exhibition allows students to share their learning with the entire learning community as they transition from the PYP to MYP.
